He played 149 1st XV games at Crediton before moving on to Exeter and subsequently to Plymouth Albion, Barnstaple and Cornish All Blacks. In addition he has represented Devon on 27 occasions and England Counties XV.

COLTS SHARE DEVON CUP TROPHY AFTER DRAWN FINAL AT EXETER.

The Colts put in a magnificent performance to draw with Exeter at Sandy Park and so share the Colts Cup. A Bradley Stone try in the final minute levelled the scores at 15 all to earn a share of the trophy.

TREMENDOUS SUCCESS FOR THE JUNIOR SECTION

The Under 16's crashed to a 3-55 defeat at the hands of an outstanding Exeter side. The Kirton lads never once gave up though and can certainly be proud of their achievement in reaching the final.

The Under 15's missed out on a chance of winning the Devon KO Cup when they suffered a 3-22 defeat against a powerful Ivybridge side.

Crediton RFC aids service personnel overseas

The Club held a game in aid of the British Legion fund to provide Christmas parcels for the armed forces currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The parcels will be directed to servicemen and women who come from the Crediton area. Organiser Mark Gibson – or Sox to those who know him – deserves thanks for organising the event as does Lou Chalmers whose constant nagging and persistence ensured that no-one escaped without purchasing a draw ticket. The game raised £325
